The Rogers Family Co., a Lincoln, Calif.-based supplier of store brand and national brand coffee, announced the launch of a coffee-naming contest with Panthera, a New York-based wildcat conservation group.
The contest, which begins July 26, will allow entrants to suggest names for a new coffee offered under Rogers Family’s Organic Coffee Company brand, Rogers Family said, via both companies’ Facebook pages. A joint committee composed of employees from both Rogers Family and Panthera will decide on the four most-creative names. Fans of both Facebook pages then will be able to vote on their favorite name.
The winner will receive a dozen 12-ounce bags of the new coffee, Rogers Family said. Other prizes include a collection of signed Panthera wildcat conservation books and photographs. Everyone who votes will receive a $1-off coupon for the new coffee.
Rogers Family added that 20 percent of online sales for the new coffee — a blend of shade-grown organic beans from Mexico and Colombia — will go directly to Panthera.
